Visualizing the activity of users attending the conferences of the world over the course of time. 

 

The size of the bubbles indicates number of activity updates, the timeline indicates the appearances of the conferences in time, and the conference titles links to the conference pages on Conferize.com. 

 

Everything, except for the the world map and the Conferize logo, is made within Adobes Edge Animation.

 

The biggest challenge was creating a, interactive 'timeline', with a set of basic functions. When looking at it, you would probably want the basic functionality of a video player, like Youtubes of something like that. A play/pause button, and the option to scroll the timeline. This is not that simple to make in Edge though, and there is no build in options for you to use.  

I managed to put timeline links on the 'month-indicators', and creating basic pause and play buttons. This could definitely be refined, but i think it's an ok beginning.
